7th Summit of the Turkic Council was held in Baku.

The Summit coincided with 10th Anniversary of the Nakhchivan Agrement founding the Turkic Council and greeted Uzbekistan as the new member of the organisation.
The Summit was dedicated to the theme of “Supporting the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs)" and attended also by heads of Chamber of Commerce and Industries of the Member States.
The Heads of State made deliberations on its high agenda and discussed major issues of multilateral cooperation among the Member States in the political, economic and cultural spheres. They also elaborated and exchanged views on pressing political issues taking place currently in the region and beyond.
Member States expressed that Turkey's operation Peace Spring will contribute to fighting terrorism, ensuring the territorial integrity of Syria, liberating local Syrians from the oppression of terrorists and creating conditions for the safe and voluntary return of displaced Syrians to their homeland.
The Heads of State of Member States signed the Baku Declaration of the 7th Summit of the Turkic Council and several decisions, as well as adopted a Joint Statement on the accession of Uzbekistan to the Turkic Council as a full member.
